Today, geomodeling is too complex and often too optimistic. Many models lack lateral and vertical heterogeneity, overestimating "good facies" volumes. Thin flow barriers are typically not preserved, leading to increased overall permeability.
We introduce a new and unique Constrained Forward Stratigraphic Modelingmethod (C-FSM) to reduce the time and complexityof geomodelingwhile generating more realistic geological and flow models.
C-FSMintegratesgeologic, seismic, and productioninformation to build "Constraints" on the FSM and construct geomodels that integrate all information as never before at a fraction of the compute costs of traditional FSM methods.
